The stories of the Gods and the Cerebians were never told for what they should be. Though it is just a handful of those people, in these stories some of the most revolutionary moments in all of Jienda are recorded, and some of the most legendary people to date and their stories are contained within. This is their story, and this is Sanctuary.

    Sanctuary
TJ knelt on the ground before Su, his head against her chest, arms tightly wrapped around her small back and hers holding her close to him. The stars above them twinkled in the dark of the night and the moonlight waned as the clouds slowly passed over it. Su glanced back and held a hand to brush the hair out of her face as she watched Peorth disappear into the horizon of the chilly night.
I...I j-just d-d-don’t...g-get it...” TJ sobbed, his tears staining her shirt.
“I know, I know.” Su said gently stroking his hair. “Just let it all out.”
    I f-felt so s-sure that...if...if I said what I f-felt that it would r-reach her. B-but I d-didn’t expect it to h-hurt s-so much...if I w-was t-turned down...”
“That’s just how it is TJ. First time is always the worst. Everyone knows that. But I didn’t expect that to happen. Looks like things are way more complicated than we thought.” TJ’s tears seemed to be stopping and he nodded silently. “Meh, buck up cowboy. Even if you fail once, you just try again, and you keep trying until you succeed. Besides, you’ve got me to help you out. Now stop crying! You’re a big boy aren’t you?”
Y-you’re right Su...” TJ sniffled as she reached into her pocket and wiped his tears with a handkerchief.
“You’re like an over sized baby...jeez. Where would you be without me? Come on now, on your feet.”
TJ laughed weakly. “You’re right...where would I be without you?” She raised one arm over her and placed it across her shoulders. “You’re the best friend a guy like me could have. Love ya Su.”
“Next time you say that I’m gonna sew your lips shut. You’ll be lucky if you can keep those, let alone your family jewels.”
“Your tongue’s as sharp as ever.”
“I keep all my weapons sharp. Anyway, now that the Chief is back and we cleaned up the mess there, we’re kinda free. At least until another one of the marks are located. So I have a favour to ask.”
    “Shoot.”
“I wanna go back to my hometown. The first one, not Yuta’s, you know, my birthplace. Been having this feeling lately like it’s been calling me but I didn’t know exactly where it was. But with this...” She took off her rucksack and drew a map. “I think it’ll take me to exactly that place.”
“You sure we can trust it?”
“I wouldn’t trust anything that guy gave me, but then again, that music player of his hasn’t exploded and killed us both yet so I won’t jump to conclusions. Speaking of that, there’s a song I think you should hear. It’ll probably make you feel a bit better about your fail.”
    “Delicate as always, aren’t you?”
“You know me too well. We’ll head back to Elias and stay the night, pack up in the morning and set out for my hometown. I think you’ll like my parents.”

This is a passage from later in the story. Might not go exactly like that (cause this is the rough copy) but it gives you an idea of the change of style and it's proof that I do plan to keep my promise lol. I have the arc planned already. But anyway, there will be more tommorow. I'll fill you in on other need to know information then too. Until next time Smile

Yeah it's weird lol. I heard this quote that went something like, "if you want to write a good story you have to betray your reader's expectations". thought provoking isn't it? But yeah, like I said things are gonna get completely messed up lol. In Frequency I layed down the foundations of the story and a bit of the characters, but I hadn't really delved deep enough into the characters themselves. Their traits are obvious, but I want there to be more to them than the simple things you can see on the outside. Also the relationships between them weren't exactly clearly established (purposely) so I'm going to solidify them over the course of events over Frequency. Better warn you now though, it's only gonna get weirder lol. Better run now while you can. But like I said, it would be taking a more mature turn, and I promise it'll be completely SFW. Still, the main thing I want to address is the main character's personality. Though he's based off of me, he has traits I don't. Through that I want to experiment with his character, 'cause there are things about him that don't limit him to being a 2D or simple 3D character. As the story goes on you'll start to see what I mean if it doesn't make sense now, and the passage at the beginning will make a lot more sense, story and character wise. so yeah, thats all I have to say for now lol. ill post what i neglected to do over the past few days since i like fell off the face of the earth or something. /endrant

    Prologue
If I had said do ‘you believe in magic?’ what would you say? I don’t mean that silly kind of magic that self-proclaimed wizards use. Especially not those ridiculous magic tricks...damn wannabes with gimmicks. Seriously though. I mean the real thing, y’know? Real spells, and real mages that go pew pew and do all sorts of crazy things that you could never imagine. It does sound a bit ridiculous doesn’t it?
I know it’s real though. On a small continent called Jienda these mages exist and co-exist with others who cast magic, warriors who can use devastating skills, and even average everyday normal people. In this place a constant battle against evil rages on every day, every hour, every minute and at every waking moment, but to the people who take part, this is just life. This is ordinary, and to become strong and defeat evil in it’s every form is a goal for these adventurers.
It all sounds quite ridiculous doesn’t it? But trust me, once you experience it for yourself you start to realize it’s actually not that weird. Then again, it just gets weirder from there. So in the eyes of the not-so-normal people, the Agasuras, the monsters they fight, are just monsters. But there’s a much deeper story to that. Legends tell of the battles between the Gods called the Cerebians and much stronger Agasuras which are like Demons. Those Gods and Demons still exist to this very day, and believe it or not I’ve met some of them. Each is quirky but similar to any normal person you would see on the streets. On the other hand, in battle their attacks are like something no one could ever believe, even if they were born on Jienda.
Lastly, there’s me. The person who stands outside of the three factions. I’m no God or Demon, and surely I’m not human. I’m a spirit, I have another spirit, or at least someone’s soul within me, the soul of a half god within me (she’s a big help actually) and a large crystal embedded in my chest that just so happens to react to other crystals that are similar to it. Ridiculous enough for you? It doesn’t sound believable, sure, but it doesn’t make it any less true. So yeah, that’s me, and a vague description of the world I live in. But anyway, guess I’m all out of time to explain things to anyone who’s interested. So as ridiculous as it may be, this is my life.
And you know what else? I believe it. I believe all of it. I believe in the Gods and the Demons. I believe in the power of the three factions and the two people of each faction that fights for them. I believe in my allies and my enemies, and I believe...I believe that I will be the one to save this world.

    First Harmony: Dasein

TJ rubbed his eyes and sat up glancing around the room bleary-eyed. It was a fairly ordinary room: white walls decorated with pictures and plaques with quotes written on them. There were a couple marble dressers with cosmetics neatly placed on top of them. Beside him rested two small night tables on each side of the bed. One had a tall white lamp with a pair of frame-less glasses beneath it, and the other a small pile of books.
On the bed rested TJ, a fairly short african-american boy with a lazy look in his eyes. He had two pink heart earrings and what seemed to be a permanent red kiss mark on his face. He had his hair in a messy Pink Prince Shaggy Cut with a few locks of hair in a ponytail. He also wore pink pajamas with kittens on them, some playing with yarn and others playing with each other.
TJ shuffled to the left side of the bed and put the glasses resting nearby on his face. He groaned and rubbed his face with the palms of his hands then said, “where the hell am I?” A bright green glow was emitted from his chest catching him off guard as a figure emerged through his clothes, landing beside him. A girl close to his height turned to him and brushed the blonde strands from her face revealing her bright emerald eyes. She had two golden hoops on each ear and a bandage on her right cheek. She wore a black Officer’s Cap, a green hoodie, purple gloves with a star on them, leather shorts with a gold chain and red and black shoes that looked like they belonged to a genie. As she stretched TJ noticed an unusual looking book hanging from her waist, probably a sorcerer's spell book. TJ was silent. His expression had not changed in the slightest, probably because of how terrified he was.
“Finally decided to get up? It’s been roughly...two to three months since you fell unconscious from the battle with Choen Palm. How do you feel? Are you alright? Can you move?” She asked. She had an unusual enthusiastic but daring tone in her voice. TJ flexed his fingers as he stared at his hands and nodded solemnly. “Good. But your memory from then is probably a little fuzzy isn’t it?” TJ nodded silently once more.

She nodded and crossed her arms and said, “right. Let’s recap.” She sat down on the bed next to him and rubbed her chin thoughtfully. “I think you started off in the town of Belos after being rescued by the legendary adventurer and the last remaining member of the Derr Clan Iris Livier. From there on you went to the city of Elias, the capital of Jienda, our continent, and met the adventurer/gunslinger Trinidell. There, you two did whatever (don’t really care) and you moved on to the town of Young Gyoung where you met up with Amu, the girl who wanted to study medicine.”
“Ah forgot. In each city you came across those weird stones that were left by Iris and each seemed to contain a piece of your missing memory. Anyway, you three went on to Aoich and found another Iris Stone. According to Trini’s diary,” she drew a diary from her pocket. “You said he had burned down your home and killed your people and princess, which was true. And you even freed him from the control of a demon.”
“Anyway, you two duked it out and Amu stopped you both from killing each other, but another of your memories came back to you through what we call ‘the Sound of Frequency’ and Amu too, could hear it and see your memory through the crystal embedded in your chest.” TJ patted his chest and just like Su had said, there was a crystal embedded there. “I’m pretty sure that bitch Choen Palm called it the Heart of Yggdrasil. Enough about her through.” She smiled devilishly. “After those two went on to the Inn you stayed behind by the Iris Stone where you met me, Suuba, the super-awesome-better-than-you ninja, and I stole your key. Then we competed to see who would get to stay in your room that night. I won that obviously and you looked kinda dead so my boss fired me.”
“So yeah, we moved on through the desert toward Elfa where we met the leader of the guild Yggdrasil and joined the guild. We also met Moran hugging an Iris Stone (he was scared of everything! Seriously...) and you saw another one of your memories. In Elfa we met up with Choen Palm for the first time and we got into a huge fight.” Su was silent for a few moments. “She murdered Moran, and in an attempt to kill her I eventually passed on too. But it wasn’t something I hadn’t expected.” Su scratched her cheek with one finger. “Never did clearly explain that. Reason I did it was so you and I would be connected by the Frequency. Only way it would happen is if you killed me. One way or another. The sound of the Frequency being used as a spell is actually really deadly.”
TJ stared blankly at the wall since Su started and continued to do so for a few moments until his expression changed to one of realization. “Wait what? So you wanted me to kill you all along? The hell’s up with that?!” He snarled.
“I just said why! Besides how would I keep the Frequency in check from outside of you?” Su retorted. TJ grunted once in a manner that showed he agreed and started staring blankly at the wall again. “It was a requirement for the spell to activate. It’s kinda like being sealed, and once the seal is broken rather than the soul moving on it becomes one with the one who broke the seal. But it’s way too dangerous for just any normal person to be used on, and to be used against. It requires a strong body, a strong will, and someone who is truly willing to die. If you lose your resolve at any point in time during the process, the soul will be annihilated and the target’s soul will be shattered to pieces. What becomes of the person if that happens is a mystery.”
“Next time you’re gonna do something that dangerous, I think I’d like to know.”
“I won’t make any promises.” She glanced at her nails and continued, “So after that...well after the battle Trini started acting weird and ran off (Choen Palm also teleported away or something) and just kinda left the rest of us behind. Anyway, next day they had the funeral and they gave me a traditional Elfa funeral. It was in my favour,” she laughed., “keeping the body in tact is also very important. But anyway you and Chief went on to talk about your memories and that guy with the straw hat in them.”
“So Amu stayed behind in Elfa and you and Yuta were going on to Atlantis, but he didn’t board the sub with you, and he shot it on it’s way to Atlantis nearly killing you (‘cause he’s a dick), but you were saved by Kooh, also one of Yggdrasil’s members. Anyway, you had that dream where we met in that place and you left for the laboratory and we talk and-” Su talked faster than before but TJ cut her off anyway.
“I remember that place...but wheat was it? And where was it?” He asked.
Su sighed. “I told you. Fate’s tricky like that. Now moving on...you went to the Kimara Research Laboratory and fought Trini and beat the crap out of him, and Choen Palm appeared and tried to bring out the inner Agasura in you.”
TJ nodded and said, “right...I kinda remember now. Peorth and Kooh rescued me before everything went wrong right?”
Su nodded also. “The Chief cancelled the effect and they took you back to Elias. But what happened there got Trini killed. After that you went on to Toad Mountain on one of those tiny Lilliput balloons and nearly died when it crash landed on the beach. Soon after you met Curt. So he explained. Stuff....and stuff. Taught you a bit about the Frequency and mentioned I was the Earth Sage. We fought Rabana and kicked his ass, went to town to another Iris Stone and set out for town again. Elias TJ! E-L-I-A-S.”
“We left for the City of Iron and stopped for a while so you could train using your mana. From there we went on to the City itself to find Yuta. We got there and found him, but he had all sorts of crazy abilities that brought out the Agasura inside you, Adonis, out. But the things he said also brought out your memories of what happened to the village he and I grew up in. So we fought and Curt and his weird Meister friend fought the Fire Sage (and Yuta’s girlfriend?) which ended in our victory. After that you checked out the Levi Stone and saw your memories, then Choen palm, Iris, and Peorth got in touch with you to ask you to choose which faction you would side with. Peorth explained a bit about the Cerebians, (Gods) Vandels, (Humans) and Agasuras (Demons) then told you where to meet her and disappeared.”
Su sighed and rubbed her throat, then cleared it and muttered, “I’m gonna talk myself dry like this. Anyway! So we went to Elias and met Peorth and the rest of Yggdrasil (the guild TJ!) who were all Gods. You and the Chief made a contract and she ranked you up giving you your wings. Then you and her trained for the next two weeks. So there were murders and stuff, and a few people went missing. Some say they got eaten by the legendary behemoth.” She snorted. “Anyway, we said our good byes and whatnot and left for the Kimara Research Lab again. We met Amu and passed Straw Hat’s grave before we boarded the sub.”
“So yeah, we cleared out most of the Abyss Ruins and raided the Lab where our guild killed most of the giants.” Su shuddered. “There were so many ladders....whatever. Anyway, we eventually met up with Choen Palm and fought her. Peorth brought our your first Cerebian form, the Messenger of Light ad that gave us new abilities putting the battle in our favour. Choen Palm just wouldn’t give it up though. Curt caught a crossbow bolt right through his hand and she short circuited RoboCurt’s MG putting them out of the battle. She also used some abilities we had never seen before, and used one to pin me to the wall putting the battle solely in your hands, with a little help from the Chief.”
“She set you up with an opportunity to seal Choen Palm away once and for all, and you did take it but you were going to seal yourself away with her. It was noble, but stupid!” She sighed. “Look, the thing is that defeating Choen Palm is fine and all, but she won’t be the end of the Agasuras. There will be others. There is others, and without me and you who could fight them?” Su was quiet for a few moments until she looked at TJ sternly in the eyes. “It’s a lot to face, trust me I know. But I will kick every fuckin’ demon’s ass who dares to stand in our way. We’re in this together TJ, and I’ll see you through it all. So whatever happens don’t look back, just forward. I’ll have your back until this is over.”
TJ cracked a smile as he said, “thanks Su,” he stood up and stretched but stopped halfway. “Wait a sec’. The hell’s up with the kitty pajamas? And where the hell are we?”
Su snickered and replied, “well, after the fight with Choen Palm you were brought to the hopistal ‘cause you were unconscious and you had like three broken ribs. The Chief wanted you out of there asap. Soon as you could leave the hospital she brought you back here...to her apartment.”
TJ stared blankly at Su for a few moments then whispered, “what? Oh! What?! You mean this is the Chief’s place?!” Su nodded once. TJ seemed to be in shock upon hearing that. “Okay...okay...so this is the Chief’s place. So what the heck is up with the kitty pajamas?”
    Su shrugged. “They’re cute.”
“You’re ignoring the question. Why am I wearing them?”
    “They’re...cute?”
“You’re ignoring the question.” TJ said in a sing-songy voice.
Su snorted and burst into laughter. “That was horrible. But you’ve got me. I’ll ‘fess up.” TJ half-smiled. “The reason you’re wearing them is because they’re cute. But they belong to the Chief-”
    “What?!” TJ spluttered.
“-and she and I put them on you.” TJ’s eyes began to look fairly dilated. “What? We’re all girls here.” Su said with a smirk.

It's a shame the indents aren't included on the forum. But beggars can't be choosers i guess lol. Anyway, something important you should know is that Sanctuary is going to be broken up into three divisions for the stories in them. The first one that you can see is the Harmonies, which are the main chapters. So those ones basically are the main story in the current time. Once I get to the other one's I'll explain those too, but for now this is the most common one you'll be seeing. Once I have more to post I'll do just that lol.

everyone loves kittens lol. I don't think my cat would be too happy if I got one though lol. anyway o.o! gonna be working on Frequency like right now and then I'll get back to Sanctuary a little later. It might not be enough to post today, but there will be more tomorrow. Once I get through the good copy of Frequency than I can focus solely on this. Just wanted to beef up the early chapters lol.

I wouldn't mind having a kitten or two. But I have one fat cat lol. There was something I wanted to say but I don't quite remember...but like I said before that Sanctuary was gonna be quite retarded in comparison to Frequency lol. You got a taste of that from the passage and there will be more of it, but I'll still stick closely to the original story. Just easing into it in the early chapters and improving how deep the story goes over time. Aside from that, I'll have it posed sometime tonight lol

“We? I hope you’re not referring to me too.” Su raised her eyebrows to that comment and TJ frowned. “There were some bits and pieces I don’t quite recall from what happened before, but I sure as hell remember Verun’s wife referring to me as a ‘she’.” TJ shuddered and Su fell backwards laughing. “I’m gonna like...get out of this. Y’know? Then we should go! Somewhere....where’s everyone at?”
Su sat back up and thought for a minute, then answered, “everywhere. Kinda. Everyone is a bit scattered, but some are in Elias while others are probably out making preparations.”
“Preparations for...” TJ said waving his hands in a ‘go-on’ motion.
Geseni oto Nitszch,” Su answered. TJ looked at her in a puzzled way. “You forgot that too?! Jeez TJ you sure nothing’s loose up there?” He laughed in a ‘that’s not funny’ way and she smiled. “It’s the Eternal Night stupid. It’s when the moon and the sun will align to create an eclipse. Some of the legends say that the Agasuras and Gods will mobilize and engage in a battle to decide if the world will continue to have light or forever be plunged into darkness.”
“That sounds intense,” TJ said surprised, “that must be why you wanted me to stay instead of sealing myself away with Choen Palm right?”
Su snorted and hid her smile with her hand. “You actually believe that? That’s just things you’d hear in a textbook.”
    “Hardy-har-har. You’re on a real roll today.”
“I’m always on a roll. But that’s not important. We should get moving. Can’t spend the entire day sitting around.” TJ stood up and glanced around the room. “Clothes are in the closet.” TJ opened it and noticed his waiter outfit hanging in a closet full of Peorth’s clothes. TJ reached for his outfit while curiosly glancing inside and noticing a couple of sets of armour. The outfit she had worn when they first met, the full pink outfit she had worn at the Elias Anniversary Festival, and a lot of others TJ had not yet seen, including armour.
“Peorth has armour.” TJ said sticking his head further into the closet. “I never knew! She never wears any of these.”
Su glanced lazily at TJ and said, “TJ, everybody does. You do, I do, and Peorth does too. “ TJ looked surprised. “You know the guys who make fashion sets like your waiter outfit have enchanted threads that are in each and every outfit so that they could be worn like normal clothes over your armour.”
“Really? I wonder...” TJ started to undress and his eyes darted in Su’s direction. “Don’t look!” Su shrugged and covered her eyes with her hands while muttering, “it’s not like I wanted to see.” TJ continued what he was doing while muttering things like, “what the hell? Eww. God that’s ugly!” He stood in a blue, red and pink starry outfit with a thin top, long sleeves with gloves alike to cuffs, balloon pants with a pair of massive boots, and a pair of goggles with long ear-flap-things hanging from them. “This entire thing is absolutely hideous!” TJ said as he quickly shuffled into his waiter outfit and told Su he had finished.

Su nodded and said, “let’s go.” She led the way towards a small room with a television, a couch for two with a small table beside it housing a small decorated picture frame. A larger table rested between the T.V and the couch with a flower pot containing roses. The rest of the room had other objects such as a tall lamp, some wall plaques with what could be famous quotes. The room had a very homely feel to it.
TJ looked around for a few moments then began to approach the picture frame as he said, “one sec’ Su.” He knelt down and lifted the frame, looking at an old picture with somewhat faded colours. In the picture a handful of happy people stood, some smiling while others posed to commemorate the moment. TJ had recognized most of the people in the picture at a first glance.
“Su come over here and check this out! Look, these are the people I saw in my memories! There’s the guy who had the sandman hammer, the girl with the funny-looking bow and big brown cat ears! That’s Straw Hat doing the peace sign too!” He paused for a moment. “These are...these are the people who died at the City of Iron...” He slid his fingers gently across the frame to the center where a boy dressed in a white rag sat with a girl wearing an expensive dress tightly hugged him with her arms around his neck. “This is...” He whispered, “the little princess...that was Peorth right? So the two men here from my other memory...that has to be her father...they look so much alike. But the other guy, and the boy also...” TJ stared fiercely at the picture but he could not recall who the two were. “Su, who’s this guy?”
Su frowned. “How the hell would I know? I’ve never even seen the guy!” She answered.
“I see. Guess I’ll ask the Chief later.”
“That’s a question in bad taste TJ.”
    “Whaddya mean?”
“Dead People. Peorth knew them.” She sighed. “Just...just don’t.”
TJ shrugged and placed the picture frame back where he had found it. “We should get moving. We’ve wasted an awful amount of time here.” He said.
“Wait,” Su said grabbing his hand. She dragged him along to the kitchen and pointed at a small note held against the refrigerator by a magnet. “Pretty sure this is for you.” TJ lifted the magnet and grabbed the note and began to read it aloud. It said:

    Dear TJ:

Your hair is a very important part of your body. I understand that it would be difficult to maintain while unconscious for three months so I took the liberty of doing so. I hope you do not mind. Your hair has grown a fair bit over the past few months so I strongly recommend a haircut. I have attached a hair coupon to this note so feel free to go see the hairdresser. I shall be located in the guild room as usual.

PS: If you do not wish to be considered the king of the jungle, I would recommend that you tame your mane first.

    Love, Peorth

TJ flipped the note over and noticed an Expert Hair Coupon attached. “She wasn’t kidding! But an expert hair coupon isn’t cheap.” He laughed. “She made a joke though, so I’m glad she’s lightening up a little more...at my hair’s expense. Is it really that bad?”
Su grinned and said, “trust me, it’s pretty bad. Come and see for yourself.” She led him towards the washroom and flipped the light switch turning the light on. The two stood facing themselves in a large mirror in front of a sink and TJ noticed how much his hair had grown. It had grown so long that it covered a large portion of his back while locks of hair grew down past his face covering most of his head and neck.
“My goodness...I look like a freakin’ lion. I look ridiculous! Your hair grew pretty long too!” TJ said with a snicker.
“It’s not half as bad as yours! I could use a bit of a trim though...it’s just a little too long.”
“A little? Yeah right. When you have hair down to your ass I wouldn’t call that a little.”
“I don’t wanna hear that from the king of the jungle.” Su placed some of the strands of hair in her hands and said, “it looks kinda like an extremely long bride’s veil.”
“Oh aren’t you just the most hilarious little gremlin.” TJ retorted.
“You’re just jealous of my clever comebacks.”
“Jealous? Pfft yeah right. You keep thinking that though.”
    “I will ‘cause I’m right.”
The two shut off the lights and set out into the streets of Elias.

kk the next part is posted. But if you still do play, I have a request. There's an Iris crystal in the Temple of Pluton that I hadn't visited when I had left LT. In my defense, I had no intention of using it, but for Frequency I will be. Do you think you could drop by there and find out what the visual says? I've been thinking of coming back myself (to actually play the game. not just for Frequency) but there are all these complications because of how limited my internet is, so I'm careful about my downloads. If you can do that it'd be much appreciated ^^

The two shut off the lights and exited the apartment complex into the busy streets of Elias, a massive city with buildings bigger than the imagination of it’s inhabitants. Adventurers came and went while others set up stalls and pedalled their wares. Actual stores were littered across the streets, and a tall palace stood high above the stores around it.
“I don’t quite remember where the guild room is.” TJ said blankly.
“Just keep your mouth shut, follow me and look pretty like you always do. But don’t forget, we should go get your hair cut before we go see the Chief. If she saw you she might mistake you for a girl. Or a lion, whichever you prefer.” Su said with a snicker.
TJ blew a few stray pink hairs out of his eyes and began to make faces while waving his hands in different mocking gestures. Su led TJ through Elias giving him on the spot explanations of each and every main places on the street.
As they walked they passed: Elias’ Main restaurant, (Verun and his wife Marin own that. Had some good laughs there) the pet shop, (they don’t sell real pets there, unless you want an ugly egg) the Free Market, (Again, nothing free there. People sell stuff on Saturdays) the Airport, (If you wanna go to the City of Iron or Toad Mountain again, also the Marriage Hall, that’s the place you wanna go) the Palace, (It’s the palace. The maid with the green hair will let you into the guild room if you ask) the Fight Arena, (That’s where we go for PvP, as in person versus person. Completely safe, not always fair) the weapon shop, (they don’t sell Bard stuff. Don’t bother TJ) and finally the Hair Salon.

Su and TJ approached and the doors slid aside automatically allowing them access.
“Wow,” Su said, “it’s been a while since I’ve been here. Haven’t seen this much pink since...since you.”
    “Shut it!” TJ quickly retorted.
A girl with bright red hair, a pencil and a clipboard walked over to the two and said, “how may I help you?”
“Two haircuts,” Su answered, “for me and my lady friend here.”
The employee scribbled something down as TJ muttered, “not a girl...” through clenched teeth. She nodded and led them towards two empty chairs. The two sat down and she disappeared, returning soon after with a pair of hair catalogues. “Women’s styles are on pages one to three.”
“NOT a girl...” TJ muttered through clenched teeth, but somewhat louder this time. He flicked through the catalogue ignoring advertisements and glanced across the various expert hairstyles for men. He glanced at another page with the normal hairstyles on them as he said, “these styles remind me of the guys who had them. Straw Hat had that...and Yuta had that in that colour. By the way, what will you be doing with your hair Su?”
Su’s eyes stayed focused on the catalogue but she answered anyway, “Donating some.”
“Really? How do you do that?”
“Donating? They cut some hair off, make a wig, sell it to someone else. Easy. They won’t do it unless you give the OK though.”
TJ thought about it for a moment, then smiled. “Su...you’re very kind.”
Su lowered her catalogue and stared at TJ through the corner of her eye. “I hope you like kunai TJ, ‘cause ninjas aren’t kind. They’re not very forgiving either.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.” TJ muttered.
“Good. Anyway, it’s just a few snippets of hair. Mine grew just a little bit long.” She said waving a Normal Hair Coupon. At that moment a tall blonde man approached the two with scissors and a brush in hand. It almost seemed as if he was dancing as he did. The lady with the clipboard held out one hand to introduce him and said, “this is Andrew. He’ll be your hairdresser.”
He took the opportunity to strike a pose and said, “I’m gonna make you ladies look fabulous!”
TJ looked like he was on the verge of bursting a blood vessel. “Do I have to tell everyone I’m NOT a girl? What is it about me that’s so girly? Is it my clothes? My physique? My hair?” He asked.
“I’d say all of the above.” Su retorted.
Andrew on the other hand looked surprised. “So you’re not a girl? Just a really cute boy?”
“What? No! I mean...what? Well no...you know...I wouldn’t exactly say that!” TJ answered uneasily.
“I think someone should give me their number...” Andrew said in a sing-songy voice. He had such a silky voice it actually sounded quite good.
“My number? Number...number...think i might be a one...or a four. Or sixteen or something.”
Andrew laughed. “Very cute. So you’re the hard to get type hmm? I love a good chase.” He had already started checking Su’s hair for a good length to cut.
“Don’t bother with him Andrew. He suffers from chronic shyness.” Su said which Andrew answered with a hushed gasp. “Yeah he and I are lovers. Isn’t that right TJ?”
TJ quickly glanced up from the catalogue and muttered, “huh? Wha?”
“Exactly.” Su said stifiling a laugh.
“What a shame...what a shame. It’s hard to find cute boys like that who are on the market.” Andrew said as he skillfully snipped away Su’s hair.
“Oh I know,” Su said conversationally, “but once he’s on the market you’ll be the first to know. If you get the chance I recommend you take it. He can’t say no.”
“Noted!” He said playfully as he sni[[ed a few more locks of hair from Su and spun her chair around to get a good look at her. He then drew a mirror from his pocket to show her. “Fabulous!”
“Isn’t it?” Su said taking a glance at her now shorter hair at different angles.
“Now for you, my tasty little tidbit.” Andrew said as he approached TJ.
“TJ would do just fine. Just TJ.” He said bluntly.
Andrew held his mirror to TJ’s face giving him a good look at his hair. “I assume your name is short for something? You must tell me, TJ just isn’t very cute you know. Nor does it suit you.”
TJ removed his hat and shook his stray hairs out of his eyes. “I know as much as you do. But whoever gave me the name must have had a pretty good reason to do it, so I’m not one to complain.”
Andrew seemed to be examining TJ’s hair and what should be done with it, until he finally said, “I am going to make you look fabulous TJ!”
He began to pull, cut and style TJ’s hair in all sorts of ways as he had a one-man conversation while TJ listened and gave an occasional answer. “...more boys should do what you do TJ. You know, maybe take a day to go get their hair done or like, have a spa day or something. It’s always about being a rough rugged adventurer or something.” TJ laughed nervously on that comment and Andrew shook his head. “Tsk tsk TJ, I expected more from you.” He said which TJ retorted with a silent ‘did you now?’ “Most boys are afraid to get in touch with their feminine sides. It’s not like you can’t be an adventurer and look good while you do it! But when I see you part of me says there’s hope for them yet. Although, you still have a ways to go before you understand the pain women go through to look good.”
TJ furrowed his brows. “But...I’m a guy! What do we even have to make ourselves look...you know...good?”
“Most rely on their muscle you know.”
“Muscle? Does it look like I have any of that?” TJ squeezed his thin arm proving just how thin they are. “Being strong just isn’t my thing. I’m a Bard. Even if I was muscular, what good would it do me?”
“You won’t be limited to just guitars, first off. Secondly you’d be quite the catch. Though the way you are now is quite to my tastes.”
“I dunno what that means, and I like guitars. It makes me feel like...you know, this is what I can do. I’m good at using them. Some other guy might be stronger and beefier than me, but I can still be me on the outside. Like what you see is what you get. I don’t just want people to see me for how I look on the outside. I’m a lot of work and not everyone can deal with that...” TJ glanced up at Su and she winked. “But those who see me for what I am, for better or worse, are people I really like.” He laughed cheerfully.
“You truly are something else TJ. I feel that this hairstyle would suit you best.” Andrew held the mirror to TJ’s face revealing TJ’s new hairstyle, his long pink strands of hair cut shorter and in a much smaller amount, greased and tied back in a thin ponytail.
“Are you serious?! Like seriously? You! Grr...you...!” TJ was standing face to face (he was about neck height) with Andrew and he looked like he was ready to fight. “You!” He grabbed Andrew’s cheeks and squeezed then pulled, and angrily stormed off.
“I think he likes it.” Su stated.
Andrew rubbed his cheeks and said, “he’s pretty unpredictable...”
Su shrugged and laughed. “I think both of us are. Maybe that’s why she entrusted him to me. Anyway, gotta run. You can do whatever you like with his hair and mine. See ya!” She immediately dashed out the door.
Andrew sighed but smiled, “the kids today are more complicated than we could understand. But meeting those two really makes me believe that Jienda is in good hands.” Someone in the shop called out to Andrew, requesting his help and he immediately replied, “the Fabulous Andrew is on his way!”

TJ angrily walked down the street muttering about how much he hated the haircut and Su quickly caught up. “If he was gonna give me a haircut, I would have preferred it if it wasn’t pink.”
“It suits you.” She said with a sly smile. “Oh by the way, next time a guy flirts with you I’m hooking you up with him instead. You should consider yourself lucky. I got you out of another situation.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about. But as long as it doesn’t include me meeting up with that guy again I don’t care. Next time we meet I’ll punch him in the face.”
“It’s just like you to come up with a threat like that. Anyway the palace is right over there so let’s head over and go to the guild room. Better that we avoid keeping the Chief waiting any longer than we already have.”
“Oh that’s right! I completely forgot for a while there. But then again...I don’t want her to see me with my hair like this. It looks ridiculous.”
“Your hair always looks ridiculous. You’ll be fine.”
“I know that’s not a compliment, but I’ll take your word for it anyway. The Chief has waited long enough.”
The two entered the Palace Courtyard and quietly walked down the path towards the nearest maid among a group of six, and one guy. The Courtyard was beautifully decorated with trees and flowers surrounding the stairs into the castle itself, and on the inside section of the gate. “We’d like to be given access to Yggdrasil’s guild room.” Su said.
The maid nodded and said, “Access to the guild room is granted. Guildmaster Peorth is currently within.” She held out both her hands and whispered something, and in a bright flash of light TJ and Su could feel themselves being lifted off of the ground and pulled in each and every direction until they came to a complete stop landing inside of Yggdrasil’s guild room.

This is another part of the changes I wanted to make. The side characters, like NPCs and anything along those lines never did have much character, let alone have anything to say. With some of the characters I decided to experiment with a bigger variety of traits, different sexualities and the like. Andrew is not meant to be insulting to any gay guys, trust me. He's just extremely flamboyant. Didn't want to be afraid to have characters like him in any of my work. Same sex relationships are okay by me lol
annnnd the next time i can work on this is an iffy. maybe tommorow, can't say for sure. My schedule has been a lot more busy lately.

Post  Toejam Wed Sep 21, 2011 4:40 pm

The guild room was a beautiful place with tall rock formations far off into the distance under the slightly cloudy blue sky. Long vines wrapped themselves around the snow white pillars connecting the arches around the back of the room with small trees surrounding them, and a fountain in the center of it all. Before the fountain stood Guildmaster Shabur, a tall masked man with a mysterious magical demeanor who just so happened to be floating. TJ wondered if he had feet at all as he stared.
On the roots of a large tree rested the actual guildmaster, Peorth. She had short icy blue hair, a blue star on her cheek and ivory skin with a pair of yellow frameless glasses similar to TJ’s. Her sapphire blue eyes quickly moved back and forth as she occasionally flipped the pages of an odd dirty looking book. She wore a white silk top that was black around the chest and wrist area, but white around the neck, stomach, and shoulders. It had golden rings around the higher and lower sections of the shoulders that ended where the colours differed. She wore a skirt that was white with a black ring around the bottom, an actual golden hoop around the waist and small wing-like pieces of fabric hanging from the side, and tall white boots with black around the heels and a gold design embroidered on the side. She also wore a pair of earrings, one short and gold while the other long and red, and a large pair of wing earrings in her hair.
She glanced up from her book and seemed to notice TJ, and matched his stare for a few moments. TJ opened his mouth to say something but his words turned into a scream as he fell backwards with Peorth tightly wrapping her arms around his neck.
“TJ you have awoken!” She said excitedly tightening her grip. “I had feared that you would have not ever risen from your slumber again because of me...I feared that the transformation was too much and too sudden for you. I am so pleased to see-”
TJ tapped her on the arm and barely managed to say, “you’re...choking...me...”
Peorth quickly leapt off of him and apologized, then helped him to his feet. “Forgive me for my rudeness. I have gotten quite ahead of myself. The fall you had taken in the Kimara Research Laboratory seemed deathly, but you have proven to be okay.” She smiled cheerfully. “But since you have suffered a concussion, your memory may have been affected. In case you don’t recall, I am Peorth Emeria Asgard, the leader of Yggdrasil(the guild)’s Cerebians and the Guildmaster of Yggdrasil. Welcome to Yggdrasil’s guild room, a place where gods and mortals may speak. I am in your care.” She curtsied.
TJ smiled and stifled a laugh and she looked puzzled. “I couldn’t have forgotten you Chief. And besides, your initials spell pea.” She half-smiled. “But you don’t have to be so polite with me Chief!” TJ said waving his hands nervously. “You’ve been looking after me all this time so it’s the other way around. Ah, and thanks for the hair coupon!” She glanced at his hair and laughed slightly. “It looks ridiculous doesn’t it?”
“Not at all. It suits you very well TJ. Pink really is your colour is it not?”
“Alright alright break it up you two. Enough with the emotional reunion. There’s big stuff going on that TJ’s missing out on.” Su said standing between the two. “What were you reading there Chief?”
“They were some of the notes that we had taken from the Kimara Research Laboratory after our mission. Though Choen Palm had escaped, we had accomplished all of our other tasks so I strongly believe that we were successful. Though what happened to TJ is truly unfortunate. I am sorry for all that you had suffered through TJ.”
“It’s no big deal really,” TJ said rubbing the back of his neck, “I know what I signed up for so...heh, I guess that’s something I can’t really complain about.”
“So what did you find out through them Chief?” Su asked.
Peorth rubbed her chin thoughtfully and answered, “the passages in this book have not told me much of reversing the effect. Nathan Farrow and his descendants only spoke of searching for ways to make the effects irreversible. We have one of the creatures, a Corala, sealed so that it will be harmless in the time we are doing our work. We have tried various methods to remove the effects of the transformation and testing on the poor soul that has been effected, but are yet to find success. So many people have been caught and transformed into these creatures, I wonder if their souls are still in tact. Though, the good news is that those who only have slight disfigurations are cureable by using the water from Sellistar’s spa.”
    “Sellistar? Who’s Sellistar?” TJ asked.
“Ah...I have not introduced you yet. How rude of me.” Peorth cleared her throat and held her hands out to what stood behind her and said, “TJ, Su, I would like you to meet Sellistar. Sellistar, this is TJ and Su.”
The only thing that was there was the tree. TJ stared intensely as if something was going to appear if he looked hard enough but gave up. He glanced high above him towards the crown of the tree and began to understand. Where they stood was where the roots resided, and as he looked higher up he started to see the shape of a woman, from the legs to the body. Sellistar had a long thorned wooden tail, with vines that rose up from the roots, but a body similar to that of a human’s, size notwithstanding. She had long arms that rested beneath the chest and thin hands with long fingers shaped like claws. The branches from behind her stretched out and budded leaves that shaped into two massive wings. Her face was just like a person’s, and the branches from her crown budded leaves like hair that rested on the sides of her face. All around her were small balls of light, and she gave off a magical aura.
“You mean that...” TJ said as he and Su stared looking apalled.
Sellistar shifted slightly and opened her eyes as she said, “It is a pleasure to meet you Children of the Sun.”
“How did I not notice that?!” TJ said still shocked. “And she talks too! That’s amazing!” TJ laughed excitedly. “What is Sellistar Chief?”
“Sellistar is Yggdrasil’s guild crop. There is a bit of history behind it, but do you want to hear that?” Peorth asked.
    “Heck yes!” TJ said excitedly.
Peorth smiled slightly and cleared her throat. “Many a years ago when the Cerebians started to make connections with the Vandels by moving between the two worlds, Midgard and Yggdrasil, they were given seeds from Yggdrasil to plant new trees. These trees would not only increase the mana regeneration and circulation on Midgard, but also enrich the plant life and further the circle of life’s cycle. Lastly, it would allow the Cerebians to travel between Yggdrasil and Midgard much more easily and to different places across Midgard. The campaign had went on for quite a long period, and proved to be successful, until humans started to cut down the trees. They began to use the resources for their own purposes and used the magic within them for creating things they did not need, including weapons.
The Cerebians were not pleased with this, and many tried to stop it but did not prove successful. As the amount of trees as a whole, not just those that the Cerbians had brought decreased, the amount of mana on Midgard had decreased greatly. The Cerebians who tried to plant their crops around that time were helpless to stop the plant from withering. Eventually the campaign as a whole came to a complete standstill. But with the founding of the guild system, and the creation of the instance guild rooms, which the Cerbians took part in of course, they had found a new way to plant the guild crop.
As you may know, the Instance Dungeons are like smaller worlds connected to one world, or considered different dimensions. Nevertheless, making the guild room an instance dungeon allowed the Cerebians to keep enough mana in tact to plant the guild crop while not having to risk it being cut down, or fear the chance of there being too little mana. Thus, mana could be delivered to Midgard as a whole through the guild room while the crop was protected.
Now moving on to the present, with the Cerebians’ escape from Yggdrasil, with them they brought new guild crop seeds. Some were lost on the way, and others are being safely protected. Sellistar is one of those seeds that I have obtained. During the time you were unconscious I planted the guild crop in preparation for the battles to come.”
“So if we have Sellistar planted it’ll help Midgard and us in battle? Oh but...if we’re on Jienda, than what is Midgard exactly?”
“Midgard is the world as a whole. It was the name given to it long ago, but it has become more unknown over the centuries. There is a city on Jienda called Midgard but it only is a part of the past. It has excellent communication with Atlantis so the city is very advanced, and is probably one of the last few cities that still believes in the existence of the Cerebians and God Ah’s family. Some say they are searching for a way to get to Yggdrasil itself, but alas, it may be just a rumour.
Nevertheless, should we prove successful in defeating Sellistar in battle, we will be rewarded with a different sort of reward each time. One day it may be fighting an enemy Agasura, giving us the opportunity to not only test ourselves as a guild, but also give us a chance to realize hidden potential and learn new spells and stances we did not know previously. Another day it may be access to the guild mine, where we’ll have access to rare minerals that cannot be found in the Forest or Crystal Mine; this would be very useful for crafting legendary armour and weapons. Another battle will lead us to the guild spa, where we can refresh our bodies and minds and be restored to a point where we’ll temporarily feel better and stronger than we previously had.”
“That’s amazing! So if we beat Sellistar we get buffs and stuff or items and skills we wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else. But what happens to Sellistar after she’s beat?”
“She will return to being a seed which can be planted once more.” Peorth stood by Sellistar and gently slid her hand down the side of her roots. “If Yggdrasil really did pass away at that time, someday maybe Sellistar, or one of her many sisters will become the next World Tree.” TJ looked stunned but Su’s face did not change and she seemed interested nonetheless. “But until, or even if that day must come, it is still a pleasure to have her with us.”
Sellistar opened her eyes again and bent over slightly as she said, “thank you for taking such good care of me your highness. I would be but a seed if it were not for your kindness.” She smiled.
“Think nothing of it Sellistar. You are an important part of Yggdrasil as all of it’s inhabitants.” Peorth replied.
Sellistar smiled and closed her eyes again returning to her original position. “She really admires you Chief.” TJ said with a half-smile.
“You may say that.” Peorth answered with a devilish smile. “Now, enough of my lecture. We must celebrate your awakening. I shall make preparations for this immediately. I am sure the guild will be pleased to see you TJ.” She placed her hand under her top slightly revealing her guild badge pinned to her skirt and tapped it gently twice, then began to mutter something to the guild as a whole as she cleaned up the books around Sellistar.

Decided to give Order Sellistar a bit of back story, while staying true to her original purpose. And I gave the Chief her new look, although it was something she had already worn I found in an old screenshot. They really do prove useful. Been feeling extremely creative today lol. I don't have any plans tommorow so there'll prolly be more. Finally getting close to the end of Chapter 1 lol.
Think I might post the first chapter of Frequency on fanfiction.net. Still working on chapter 4 though...gotta get back to that soon. But anyway, that's all for today.See you next time!
